The Snuggly Steamers
The babies in this room are aged from 6 weeks to 24 months. There are lots of individual routines for feeding, sleeping and playing. We ask parents to write their routines in the daily book provided and at the end of the day they can read about their baby’s eating, sleeping and playing for the day.
The Barrelling Boilers
The toddlers in this room are 2-3 years of age, and we are always busy. You will notice our teachers are very engaged with us – lots of talking and talking and talking – our language development is skyrocketing right now. You will notice we go to the bathroom and lunch in small groups and we really like to help our teacher. We are great at anything that involves water!
The Clever Conductors
The children are aged 3-5 in this room and we are enjoying more self-help skills and learning to socialise and interact with our friends. It is important for us to start learning to co-operate with others, share more often, make and follow very simple rules for our room and to take care of our friends.
The 4-5 year olds in this room are learning the preschool program. We will be preparing for kindergarten and the skills we learn will help us to feel more confident and settled for our first day at primary school.
At Cherry Bridge Station Rhodes we have two state-of-the-art outdoor play areas. One is specially designed for our 0-2 year olds, while the other caters for the 2-5 years age group. These generous play spaces include sandpits, decking, benches, a hill with bridge and tunnel, cubby houses and water play. Our large verandah, shade sails and umbrellas allow children to enjoy the importance of playtime whatever the weather.
Cherry Bridge Station Rhodes is conveniently located on Blaxland Road, opposite Rhodes Train Station. This centre has easy access and plenty of underground parking available, with site access via the lift or stairs. (View on Google Maps)
Nominated Supervisor Profile
My name is Nancy and I have been in the childcare sector for 7 years. I am diploma qualified and the Nominated Supervisor at Cherry Bridge Station, Rhodes.
I feel blessed to be able to lead a fantastic team of educators to scaffold children’s learning and development.
I believe families and our local communities are integral to children’s lives and learning, hence, focusing on experiences of being together enabling belonging.
I believe children learn through play and are active learners, who make a significant contribution to the world.CBS Rhodes creates a perfect environment for children to discover and develop. We promote a positive disposition for learning, and engaging in play-based-education enables children to grow a sense of being and individuality.
Children develop through differing contexts, which stem from the places in which they live and learn. This is the core of self-discovery and is central to growing and becoming.
I endeavor to inspire children in early education, allowing them the opportunity to lay solid foundations for their future.
