The Snuggly Steamers
The babies in this room are aged from 6 weeks to 24 months. There are lots of individual routines for feeding, sleeping and playing. We ask parents to write their routines in the daily book provided and at the end of the day they can read about their baby’s eating, sleeping and playing for the day.
The Barrelling Boilers
The toddlers in this room are 2-3 years of age, and we are always busy. You will notice our teachers are very engaged with us – lots of talking and talking and talking – our language development is skyrocketing right now. You will notice we go to the bathroom and lunch in small groups and we really like to help our teacher. We are great at anything that involves water!
The Clever Conductors
The children are aged 3-5 in this room and we are enjoying more self-help skills and learning to socialise and interact with our friends. It is important for us to start learning to co-operate with others, share more often, make and follow very simple rules for our room and to take care of our friends.
The 4-5 year olds in this room are learning the preschool program. We will be preparing for kindergarten and the skills we learn will help us to feel more confident and settled for our first day at primary school.

Nominated Supervisor Profile
My name is Julie Benson and I am the Nominated Supervisor of Cherry Bridge Station Rhodes.
I have had over 25 years’ experience in early childhood education and am passionate about providing an environment in which children can grow and learn whilst feeling safe and secure.
I began my career as a nanny, moved to an untrained assistant role and completed the Associate Diploma Social Science (Child Studies) in 1999. Since completing this I have worked with children 0-6 years and in administration roles within child care.
I look forward to meeting and building relationships with all of the children and families at the centre.
